A 100% handmade, one-of-a-kind customized mask of the Mortal God of Paralysis, the patron god of the injured and dispossessed. Her presence acts as a ward promoting healing and protecting against abuse.
The mask is large, wearable, and made of lightweight resin. This mask has been hand-painted with real bronze-loaded paint which was then patinated and sealed. Measuring 8″ wide x 11.5″ tall x 4.5″ deep, the profile is somewhat shallow, so it is ideal for people with less prominent facial features. It has not been padded on the inside, although this can be easily done if desired. Large eye holes, 2 nose holes, and 3 hanging/strap holes have been drilled on either side of the mask and the top, although no strapping is included. Additional holes can be drilled or cut with an x-acto knife if low visibility is an issue. The mask is not designed for rough use, but suitably durable for light play, larp, or wall display. In the case of warping due to extreme heat, the mask can be reshaped by applying a heat gun to it briefly and bending it gently. If you wish to make reinforcements, plumber’s putty/epoxy putty works very nicely for this, though it does add some weight – the strap-holes of this mask have been reinforced already.
